Cairo's famous medieval market. Narrow, crowded, uneven stone floors. The main corridors are passable with a companion and determination. The Al-Fishawy Café (over 200 years old) has street-level seating. The atmosphere is electric.

Cairo summers reach 40°C+ (104°F+). Visit October-April for comfortable temperatures. Even in winter, midday sun is strong. Stay hydrated, wear a hat, and schedule outdoor sites for early morning. The Grand Egyptian Museum is air-conditioned — save it for the afternoon heat.

Cairo is extremely challenging for mobility — traffic is chaotic, sidewalks are often non-existent or blocked by parked cars, and crossing streets feels life-threatening even for able-bodied pedestrians. The Pyramids of Giza are on sand and rocky desert — wheelchair access requires an all-terrain chair or staying on the paved areas near the entrance.
