Xi'an Metro has elevators at newer stations. Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4 serve the main tourist areas. Check station accessibility in advance as older stations may lack elevators.

🗿 Terracotta Warriors Museum
The museum has added ramps, elevators, and accessible viewing platforms at all three excavation pits. The main pit (Pit 1) with 6,000 warriors is viewable from an elevated accessible walkway. 🏰 Ancient City Wall
One of the best-preserved ancient city walls in the world (8.7 mi (14 km) circumference). Elevator access at the South Gate allows wheelchair users to reach the top. The surface on top is flat and wide enough for cycling — and rolling. Magnificent views of the old and new city.
🍜 Muslim Quarter
A vibrant, centuries-old food street near the Drum Tower. The main street is flat and paved, though very crowded in the evening. Lamb skewers, biangbiang noodles, persimmon cakes, and pomegranate juice from street stalls. One of China's best street food experiences.
🕌 Great Mosque
One of China's oldest and largest mosques, blending Chinese and Islamic architecture. The courtyard gardens are largely flat and accessible. A unique and beautiful site within the Muslim Quarter.

🍜 Biangbiang Noodles
Xi'an's signature dish — thick, hand-pulled belt noodles with chili oil. The character "biang" is one of the most complex in Chinese writing (58 strokes). Available from accessible noodle shops throughout the Muslim Quarter. A must-eat.

🪨 Surfaces
Xi'an's city wall is one of the world's best-preserved — the top surface is 12-14 meters wide, flat, and paved (accessible by ramp at several gates). The Muslim Quarter has narrow, crowded streets but flat surfaces. Modern Xi'an has good sidewalks. The Terracotta Warriors site has paved paths between the three exhibition halls.

The Terracotta Warriors site is 1.5 hours from Xi'an by car/bus — plan a half-day. The three pits are air-conditioned (critical in summer heat). Pit 1 is enormous — the scale of 6,000 warriors in formation is emotionally overwhelming in the best way. Audio guides available. The Muslim Quarter at night is a sensory feast — sizzling lamb, hand-pulled noodle demonstrations, pomegranate juice vendors. The City Wall at sunset (accessible by ramp) is Xi'an's most peaceful experience — wide, flat, with views over the old and new city in golden light.
